Every new year I find myself reflecting. Why do I admire this artist and the accompanying site? Because it represents quality music and artistry that is still contemporary and historically relevant.
Jack Green musician/artist is not like Mylie Cyrus who one day walks into a board meeting as an identifiable personage and comes out suddenly as a packaged product with a radical personality transplant at complete odds with her history. It's incredible that people are lapping this up without a critical mindset! And people call this innovative!
Imagine Muddy Waters in times past jumping on stage in sequin skin tight pants wiggling his arse to the cadence of his flapping tongue in perfect sync with the backing synthesizer drum kit. And the public saying, "Wow this is great, we were getting tired of the same depressing sh...t record after record."!
Thanks Jack for being true to your artistic inspiration and inclinations no matter what a minority of fans or even fellow musicians may say to the contrary.
I remember when Eric Clapton began tapping into more country influences, Jimmy Page angrily commented. "Eric F...ng Eric. He's lying down more and more..." And Ritchie Blackmore according to Ian Gillan,."Eric Clapton, he just can't play guitar!"
To each his own. Whatever your gift or schtick all the best this New Years in expressing it with continued integrity and passion.

And through him, many fans have been able to see, hear and appreciate Jack in ways that would never have happened. Jack has been able to get in touch with dear friends that he hadn't seen in decades. All solely through the thoughts and efforts of one fan. This means more than many could possibly imagine...
