A mature & memorable body of work emblematic of the Rod Stewart album title, "Every picture tells a story". Passionate, moving & sincere. These tracks are an open book. "Mediterrean White", the perfect song, dreamy vocals and intoxicating guitar work will have you touring the Portinatix coves while sipping a Frigola on the rocks. Unfortunately after 3 minutes I was again awakened to the cold reality of the 'Great White North' (LOL) For the price of a bag of crips you can experience the musical genius of Jack Green!
"Bible" is an inspiring, challenging and provocative look at what many deem to be a mythical and legendary basis for faith & reality. The vocals cleverly take on a mantra like cadence while striking guitar cords intensify the hypnotic mood, driving home the point. A very unique and creative song indeed! A companion piece would be John Lennon's composition "God".
"Isle of Wight", the largest and most significant concert of its kind not likely ever to be duplicated. A universal atmosphere of love, hope and peace continues to endure to this day along with the songs that were sang. A very alluring vocal with a beautifully loose and looping arrangement enhances the nostalgic mood. So far these songs illustrate the musical diversity of Jack Green who manages to create a unique band chemistry by himself. Also refreshing to many and disturbingly poignant to others is the musical style of Jack's vocals and musical arrangements. Refusing to be typecast, this collection differs from his previous offerings. These arrangements are moody and subdued at times but brilliantly appropriate to the autobiographical genre. Will be loved by many and dismissed by some. One is humourously reminded how some fans were bitterly disappointed that "Sargeant Peppers" didn't sound like "I want to hold your hand".
