This is the original advertisement that Jack answered, that was placed by Marc Bolan looking for a 'FREAKY LEAD GUITARIST'. Out of the many people who applied, and there were a great many, Jack was given an audition and blew away T-Rex Founders Marc Bolan & Mickey Finn with his amazing guitar playing.
Always the modest guy, The Fabulous Jack Green became a part of T-Rex. With Jack leading the guitar playing, Marc was free to concentrate on vocals and his signature rhythm guitar playing! Who cares about his career? He was a session musician.
And why does every comment call him humble, fabulous and talented when he isn't?
I bet Jack Green runs the site. Nobody else cares about his awful music. He couldn't even write songs in 1985. HIs recent efforts are risible and very, very embarrassing.

The only irony is that these are comments that a long time friend often makes after a row and a few too many pints!
Careers are often erroneously equated with noteriety. Big Jim Sullivan, Ritchie Blackmore, Jimmy Page, John Bundrick & Pino Palladino were former session musicians as well (not to shabby)!
I find his recent lyrics very strong and musical presentation very seasoned. Some of the newer material could use a mixing upgrade. It's easy to pick on the casual musician who's built another successful life for themselves. I don't hear many people being so bold with the Robert Plants' and Ian Gillans' for not being able to sing "Whole Lotta Love" and "Child in Time" quite like they used to!
It's all good though, these comments were quite engaging actually!
